Refund policy
At South Coast DTF, every order we produce is custom-printed on demand. Because transfers are manufactured specifically to your supplied artwork and cannot be resold, all sales are final once production has begun. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order.
Order Cancellations
You may cancel your order at any time before it enters our print queue. Once printing has commenced, cancellation is no longer possible.
To request a cancellation, contact us immediately at hello@southcoastdtf.com.au with your order number in the subject line. We process orders quickly — contact us as soon as possible.
Approved cancellations will be refunded in full to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.
Refunds & Reprints
We stand behind the quality of our DTF transfers. Refunds or complimentary reprints will be offered where we have made an error or where a confirmed production defect exists.
We will issue a reprint or refund if:
- The finished transfer is materially different from the artwork file you supplied
- Transfers exhibit production defects such as banding, severe colour bleeding, or delamination that occur under normal pressing conditions
- We sent you the wrong item or wrong quantity
Refunds will NOT be issued for:
- Colour variation between on-screen display and printed output — computer screens display colour using RGB (Red, Green, Blue), which can produce a far wider range of colours than physical printing allows. DTF printing uses CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) inks, meaning certain vivid, neon, or highly saturated colours simply cannot be replicated in print. This is a fundamental limitation of the printing process and is not a defect. If precise colour output is important to your order, purchase our Colour Matching Service before committing to a full production run.
- Artwork errors supplied by the customer — including spelling mistakes, incorrect sizing, low-resolution files, wrong colour modes, or any design issue present in the file you uploaded. You are responsible for checking your artwork before submitting.
- Pressing or application errors — DTF transfers must be applied with correct heat, pressure, and dwell time. Failure to follow pressing guidelines is outside our control and will void any claim.
- Change of mind once production has commenced
- Minor colour or edge variations within normal production tolerances
- Orders where the customer approved a digital proof and the issue was visible in the proof
How to Lodge a Claim
If you believe your order qualifies for a reprint or refund, follow these steps:
- Contact us at hello@southcoastdtf.com.au within 7 days of receiving your order
- Include your order number in the subject line
- Attach clear photos or video showing the defect on flat, well-lit transfers
- We will review and respond within 2 business days
At our sole discretion, we may offer a reprint, store credit, or refund. We reserve the right to request the return of defective product before processing a claim.
