Terms of service
By placing an order with South Coast DTF (accessible at southcoastdtf.com.au), you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. About Us
South Coast DTF is a DTF (Direct to Film) transfer printing service based in Shoalhaven, NSW, Australia. We produce custom gang sheets and individual transfers for decorators, brands, and businesses.
2. Orders & Acceptance
All orders are subject to acceptance by South Coast DTF. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or modify any order at our discretion, including — but not limited to — where:
- Submitted artwork contains content we deem offensive, inappropriate, politically charged, inflammatory, or otherwise objectionable — regardless of the customer's intent or context
- Artwork infringes third-party intellectual property rights
- The order cannot be fulfilled to our quality standards
- Fraudulent or suspicious activity is detected
We operate a family-friendly, community-focused business. We will not print content that promotes hatred, discrimination, violence, explicit material, or content that could bring our business or community into disrepute. This decision rests solely with South Coast DTF and is final.
3. Artwork & File Responsibility
You are solely responsible for all artwork files you submit. By uploading a file, you warrant that:
- You own or have the legal right to reproduce the artwork
- The artwork does not infringe any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights of any third party
- The artwork does not contain unlawful, defamatory, or prohibited content
- The file meets our published artwork specifications (minimum 300 DPI, correct dimensions, RGB or CMYK colour mode as specified)
South Coast DTF will print artwork as supplied. We do not check files for spelling errors, design accuracy, or rights clearances. Any cost associated with reprinting due to customer artwork errors is borne by the customer.
4. Colour Accuracy & CMYK Limitations
DTF printing uses CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) inks. This is a fundamentally different colour system to what you see on a screen, which displays in RGB (Red, Green, Blue). Because of this difference:
- Not all colours that appear on your screen can be accurately reproduced in print
- Vivid neons, highly saturated hues, and certain bright colours (e.g. electric blues, hot pinks, fluorescent greens) will appear noticeably different when printed
- Even standard colours will often shift slightly between screen and print
This is not a defect — it is an inherent characteristic of CMYK printing that applies across all print technologies. By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept this limitation.
Colour Matching Service
If accurate colour output is important to your design, we offer a Colour Matching Service. This allows us to print a test run of your specific design — not your entire gang sheet or full order — so you can review how the colours actually look in print before committing to production.
To use this service, purchase the Colour Matching Service add-on from our store and submit your artwork file. We will print and photograph (or ship) your design proof for your review. Once you are satisfied, proceed with your full order. Approved proofs serve as the agreed colour reference for that order, and subsequent refund claims based on colour will not be accepted where the proof was approved.
We strongly recommend this service for:
- Brand or logo work requiring consistent colour representation
- Designs containing skin tones or gradients
- Any artwork where neon or highly saturated colours are used
- Bulk orders where colour accuracy has commercial significance
5. Turnaround Times
Standard production turnaround is 2 business days from receipt of a confirmed, print-ready file. Turnaround times are estimates only and may vary due to order volume, public holidays, or circumstances beyond our control. South Coast DTF is not liable for losses arising from production or shipping delays.
6. Intellectual Property
All designs, branding, and content on southcoastdtf.com.au are the property of South Coast DTF and may not be reproduced without written permission. Customer-supplied artwork remains the intellectual property of the customer.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, South Coast DTF's total liability for any claim arising from an order is limited to the value of that order. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages of any kind.
8. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The current version is always published at southcoastdtf.com.au. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
